Northwest Winefest
Head up to Schweitzer for this two day event starting Saturday, July 16 and wrapping up Sunday, July 17. Great bands, great wine, great food and great fun! There are 5 bands lined up, 20 regional wineries with 80 wines, barbeque, arts & crafts vendors and activities for the whole family. To participate in the wine tasting (and drinking) you’ll simply purchase your souvenir wine glass with tasting tickets in the Mountain View patio near the Clocktower. Then head to “Wine Alley” to sample whichever wines interest you. Just hand the server your ticket and they’ll pour the wine of your choice. Each ticket gets you 2 ounces of wine so you can work your way around the village sampling all the great wines. You can purchase additional tickets at the glassware sales area so you can keep sampling all weekend. Vote for your favorite white, red and rose wines, then purchase bottles of your favorites to take home! All the other summer activities will also be available to keep you entertained as well. Take a ride up the Great Escape chairlift and visit the Sky House lodge at the top of the mountain.
